How It Works

PAR (Photosynthetically Active Radiation) is the most accurate measure of usable light for plants. Low-light plants like Java Fern need 20-40 PAR, while demanding plants like carpeting species need 80-120+ PAR at substrate level. Deeper tanks need stronger lights because PAR drops significantly through water.
