How It Works

CO2 concentration is calculated using the pH-KH-CO2 relationship: CO2 = 3 x KH x 10^(7-pH). The ideal range for planted tanks is 20-30 ppm. Above 35 ppm can stress fish. Use a drop checker with 4 dKH reference solution — green means roughly 30 ppm, yellow means too high, blue means too low.
